We pick you up at 5am while the world is still quiet and the air is cool. The drive to Central Lombok takes about two hours from Kuta or Senggigi, but the early start means you'll arrive just as the morning light hits the rainforest. It's worth it.

At Benang Waterfall, we swap the car for a local motorbike taxi, a quick 7-minute ride through the village, then a short walk down stairs surrounded by lush greenery. And then you see it. Twin waterfalls cascading into a clear pool, safe for swimming and perfect for that morning refresh. No crowds yet, just you and the sound of falling water.

After drying off, we drive about 55 minutes to Tete Batu Village. Lunch is already prepared when you arrive, served with a cup of local coffee while you take in the peaceful hillside views. This isn't a rushed meal, it's the kind where you sit, breathe, and let the day unfold.

Then comes the walk through Tete Batu's famous ricefields. Your guide will show you around, pointing out local plants, explaining traditional farming methods, and sharing stories about daily village life. The scenery is stunning: terraced green fields stretching across the hills, hidden corners with small waterfalls, and that fresh mountain air that makes everything feel more alive.

It's a slow, authentic kind of day. No beach, no boat, just Lombok's green heart and the warm people who call it home.
