The Secret gilis

Most visitors to Lombok never see these islands. And that's exactly what makes them special.

This is the kind of day that starts with an early coffee at a quiet harbor and ends with you wondering why you didn't come sooner. We'll pick you up from your hotel around 8am and take the scenic drive to the coast, about two hours from Kuta or Senggigi, but the journey flies by as the city fades and the ocean comes into view.

At the harbor, a warm cup of black coffee is waiting. No rush. Just you, the sound of gentle waves, and the feeling that you're about to discover something off the map.

Then we hop on a private boat and head to Gili Gede, the gateway to Lombok's best-kept secret islands.

Gili Bengit comes first, and it's a stunner. The water is so clear you can see every shade of blue and green, with coral reefs alive with color just beneath the surface. Perfect for snorkeling, or just floating and soaking it all in.

Next up, Gili Layar. White sand, swaying palms, and not a crowd in sight. This is where we stop for lunch by the sea, just you, your group, and the sound of waves lapping the shore.

Finally, Gili Asahan. Turquoise water, a peaceful atmosphere, and that "hidden paradise" feeling that makes you reach for your camera every few minutes. It's the kind of place where you can actually relax, no honking scooters, no souvenir hawkers, just the ocean and the sky.

We'll have you back at your hotel by 6pm, with a memory card full of photos and a heart full of island vibes.
